Three Women Candidates Stand in Target Ward!

April 3, 2006 11:28 AM

Gemma O'Keeffe, Anood Al-Samerai and Poddy ClarkWomen Liberal Democrats, Poddy Clark, Anood Al-Samerai and Gemma O'Keeffe have launched their campaign to gain the target ward of Brunswick Park in Southwark.

The three women demonstrate the great talent, diversity and drive of women in the Party. Poddy, 62, has worked for Southwark Housing Dept and has a keen interest in environmental and sustainability issues. She is also a grandmother. Anood, 25, was born and brought up locally. She works in Simon Hughes' office on anti-social behaviour and housing casework, as well as local community relations. Gemma, 30, is a school governor and works as a Marketing Manager.

Lib Dem gains over the last four years have made Southwark a Lib Dem led Council, keeping council tax down and providing better local services. Southwark won 'Most Improved Council' in the 2005 LGA awards. Poddy, Anood and Gemma want to do more!

If you can help them, please contact the WLD office who can put you in touch with the Brunswick Park Team.
